Ohio Sheep Improvement Association
Mission: To provide leadership to Ohio’s Sheep industry that will strengthen its future viability, profitability, and sustainability.
Ohio Sheep and Wool Program
Purpose: The purpose of this program is to raise the profitability of sheep, wool and related products for Ohio producers. Funding from this program will provide education, research, marketing, and promotiional activities, including producer services.
Leadership, Education, and Ambassador Development
To promote healthy competition of market type sheep and breeding type sheep, to encourage camaraderie among members, to educate our members and the public, and to ensure the proper care and welfare of our animals. The OSIA LEAD Council is a part of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association, which is a not for profit industry organization in place to support the youth of the lamb industry throughout Ohio. In addition to our youth members, the OSIA LEAD Council serves adult members which parents, breeders, corporations, and other industry related supporters.
