Farm
A third generation purebred
sheep operation with about 50 Suffolk ewes. See an established stand of reed canarygrass as well as a
new seeding of orchardgrass, festulolium and clover.
Strode Family Farm
This farm has been completely
converted to grass farm within the last twelve years. There are about 50 Angus based brood cows and 50 Polypay
ewes grazing the farm. Rotational grazing is practiced with a gravity fed water
system that has a mile of water pipe. The family sheep shearing trailer will be available to view.
A roast lamb lunch with all
the fixings will be served.
Dick and Nancy Howard
Farm
This diverse grazing farm has
14 Suffolk crossbred ewes, 30 crossbred beef cows and 90 Boer crossbred
does. Dick and Nancy have an
Environmental Quality Incentive Program contract to assist in constructing
access lanes, pasture subdivision fences and a watering system. You will also see a handling system for
the sheep and goats.
