Alex Fitzpatrick
2026-27 Ohio Lamb and Wool Ambassador
My name is Alexander Fitzpatrick. I am a college student at Wilmington College studying Agricultural Education, I am from Kansas, Ohio, which is located in Seneca County. I have been involved in the sheep industry my whole life, as I come from a farming family that has raised sheep for about three generations. I have developed a strong passion for raising, showing, and promoting sheep. On our family farm, we raise Border Cheviots and Scottish Blackface sheep, along with the occasional crossbred.
Through my experiences in the sheep industry so far, I have had the opportunity to meet many great people and learn from experienced producers. I am excited to continue learning and to see how much more the Ohio sheep, lamb and wool industry has to offer.
As the Ohio Lamb & Wool Ambassador, I look forward to promoting lamb and wool, educating consumers and young people about the sheep and lamb industry, and helping show others why I believe the future of the sheep industry is so bright. I am especially excited to represent Ohio sheep and lamb producers and help connect the next generation with this great industry.
I am thankful for this opportunity and for everyone who has helped me get to this point. I can’t wait to see what the coming year brings!
