OSIA Code of Regulations – Article 12 – OSIA LEAD Council
A. OSIA LEAD Council Number of Council Members. The OSIA LEAD Council shall consist of a
maximum of fifteen (15) OSIA members, each of whom are representative of the sheep and
lamb youth segment of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association.
B. Terms of Service. By approval of this OSIA Code of Regulations code change at an OSIA
Annual meeting, within 30 days of its approval, five (5) OSIA LEAD Council members shall
be appointed to approximately a one (1) year term, five (5) members shall be appointed to
approximately a two (2) year term, and five (5) to approximately a three (3) year term. The
first one (1), two (2) and three (3) year terms shall be selected by random draw at the next
OSIA LEAD Council meeting after the code approval at the OSIA Annual Meeting.
a. The random draw for the one (1) year, two (2) year, and three (3) year terms
occurred at the OSIA LEAD Council Meeting on Wednesday December 18, 2024.
a. No term limits were implemented in the OSIA Code of Regulations, so at the end
of each one (1) year, two (2) year and three (3) year term, each person will be
eligible to stay on the OSIA LEAD Council into additional three (3) year terms.

Major Executive Committee Discussion and Decisions related to OSIA LEAD Council: Rules and Regulations, Nominating, Communications, Membership Marketing, Budget, Contracts, i.e. photography and banquet/awards location, Ohio State Fair Sheep Barn Promotional Auction, Special Events, etc. discussions and approvals prior to presenting to the entire OSIA LEAD Council.
